Sometimes yes but if it is her first litter, don’t expect her to be able to figure out what her hormones and buried instincts are going to tell her. Any woman can tell you that her first birth is very frightening and if she goes through the birth process more than once, she’ll tell you each time is different. Doctors and other people can talk to the human; the dog is on its own.
