Description: A congenital problem often found in brachycephalic dogs. It is a malformation of the nostrils that often hamper respiration and results in the increased resistance to the flow of air particularly in the upper respiration system leading to breathing problems. Oftentimes a dog with Stenotic Nares is seen breathing through its mouth. Surgery to widen the nares is often done for an affected to live a normal life.
