Description: When folds of skin rub together, the space between them is warm and moist creating the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Sores, inflamed and infected skin lesions may be present on different sites of the body. In brachycephalic breeds, Skin Fold Dermatitis often occurs in the facial folds where food particles usually get stuck. A foul odor emanates from these infected areas which should be cleaned thoroughly and a topical antibiotic should be administered. Regular bathing and cleaning between the fold of skin will help prevent the condition.
