Description: A disorder affecting the nervous system that is often manifested as an erratic aggression in dogs. The specific cause of Rage Syndrome has not been pinpointed however it is believed to be a result of a genetic disorder or a manifestation of Canine Schizophrenia. Dogs suffering from this condition often behave aggressively and attack or bite for no apparent reason. This undesirable behavior often occurs soon after awakening. The eyes become glazed over and the dog is often disoriented after attacks. The line of therapy is aimed at altering the routine of the dog in such a way as to create balance. This includes a change in diet, regular meals, neutering, vitamin and mineral supplements, and avoidance of situations that can cause stress in dogs.
