There is decreased blood flow to the lungs that may result to fainting or getting easily tired. Gums may be blue-colored because of the lack of oxygen present in the circulatory system. Severe cases may end in death. Pulmonic Stenosis can be treated by a surgical procedure known as “Balloon Valvuloplasty”. It is a procedure that involves inserting a balloon to enlarge the narrowed or stenotic passage and permit unhampered blood flow to the lungs. Surgical bypass and supportive medications may also be indicated depending on the assessment of your veterinarian.
