It is an aggressive and unpredictable form of malignancy whose causes have not been established. Dogs with Mast Cell Tumors experience gastric ulcers, internal bleeding and frequent allergic reactions. Mast Cell Tumors are difficult to detect thus your veterinarian will indicate a biopsy and a pathology report in order to arrive at a correct diagnosis. Cases of MCT are often treated by surgical removal of the tumors, radiation, and supportive medications.
