Seizures are commonly linked with Diabetes mellitus, liver and kidney disorders, congenital anomalies, anemia, toxins, hyperthermia, tumors, and certain drugs or medications. A diagnosis is made based on a detailed medical history coupled with x-rays and specific neurological exams. Unless the underlying cause is made known, seizures can only be prevented or decreased but never treated.
