Dermatitis is the sole manifestation of the disease. Your veterinarian will conduct several tests and skin biopsies in order to be able to arrive at a correct diagnosis. There is no successful treatment for Dermatomyositis. Dogs suffering from this condition should be prevented from sun exposure and activities that may cause trauma.
