A recessive gene is responsible for the abnormalities in the posterior portion of eye that predisposes CEA. This condition can lead to defects in the optic disc, retinal detachment, and possible hemorrhage. CEA can be easily diagnosed using an opthalmoscope, however, there is no procedure to treat the condition.
