When the presence of tumors is confirmed, the mode of treatment includes radiation and chemotherapy. Costicosteroids may be given to reduce any swelling or inflammation. Surgery may also be indicated when there are high chances of successful removal of the tumors and regaining full function of the central nervous system. Malignant tumors and delayed diagnosis can be fatal, however, treatment can grant your dog a lease on life even for just a few precious months.
