Dog Health ConcernsBrachycephalic SyndromeDescription: A disorder affecting the upper respiratory system and often occurs in flat-faced or brachycephalic dogs. The disease is characterized by anatomical abnormalities of the upper airways including having an elongated soft palate and stenotic nares. Due to the shortened bone structure of brachycephalic dogs, airflow resistance and breathing abnormalities often occur.
